Golden Globe er som kjent en prisutdeling med mange priser. I natt gikk prisen i kategorien «Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television» til Chirs Colfer, som spiller Kurt Hummel i Glee.

I takketalen la han inn en hilsen til ungdom: «To all the amazing kids that watch our show, and the kids that our show celebrates that are constantly told ‘no’ by the people and the environments, by bullies at school that they can’t be who they are or have what they want because of who they are, well (holds up award)…screw that, kids!» (Towleroad)

For øvrig fikk også Natalie Portman pris for «Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture – Drama» for rollen i filmen Black Swan. (Her er det filmen og ikke skuespilleren som har noe med homofili å gjøre…)
